TO the person crying about having to use the Holographic table to interact with their ship.. Hey Idiot... TRY YOUR NEOCOM! I stil have FULL access to EVERY SHIP IN MY SHIP STORAGE ON MY NEOCOM LEFT HAND MENU! THIS INCLUDES THE REPAIR QUOTE!!!!
So CCP wants to make more money... that is the purpose of a company... And they are providing a game that we can enjoy... Many games have cash shops now CCP is just folloring the trend but trying to alter it by having a Cash shop in a PAY 2 PLAY. I do not think that is a good thing. But when it comes down to it I'd rather have full access of a Pay 2 Play that has a cash shop than a Free 2 play that limits access to thing UNLESS you buy them with cash. Look at LOTRO and Pirates of the Burning Sea when they went Free to play They got upwards of 1-10K players back.. then turned right back around and lost that many when they realised that they could not access the best ships because they did not want to pay for the special in game money.
CCP is at least making it so the people that can buy these items can turn around and sell them on the open market so everyone still has access to them. CCP could at least lower the prices.
Oh while I'm thinking about it.. How many of you were anticipating Incarna saying things like "Man it'll be great to be able to walk around in station"? I know several in my corp did. Quite a few in my alliance did as well.
I did exactly method 4. I never got a response. Then I noticed that no-one else was getting any responses. So instead of leaving the forums I decided to stick around and see the reason for all this apparant failure. Now that I know, I am going to stick around and see the result first hand as this already seems to be an important part of MMO history. I would really like for all of this to work out; I still love this game and it is painful to leave. My subscription will remain expired untill CCP decides to shift course from the cliff they are going 150 mph towards.
